Beans

Bean is a common name for large plant seeds of many genera of Fabaceae - formerly known as Leguminosae which are used for food or feed. The words beans and pulses are close synonyms. Beans have been growing for a long time with broad beans being grown since the days of the Pharaohs and in Americas, common bean for six thousand years. Beans are also known as legumes. The Nutrients in foods are B Vitamins, Calcium, Breads, Cholesterol, Fat, Fiber, Folic Acid, Incomplete Proteins, Iron, Niacin, Protein, Riboflavin, Saturated Fats, Sodium, Thiamine,Unsaturated Fats, Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Beans were an important alternative source of protein in entire old and new world histories and occupy a position of eminence even today. There are many kinds of beans and there are over 4,000 cultivars of bean in the United States, alone.
While beans are a healthy eating habit, they do not have complete set of amino acids, and should not be depended upon as a sole source of protein.
